Frankincense

This is the oil that started my oily journey. It is know an the King of oils and can be used for almost everything! I'm always saying, when in doubt get the Frankincense out!

It promotes feelings of peace and overall wellness. Aids cellular function promotes relaxation, aids skin, supports a healthy immune, nervous and digestive system when taken internally
Frankincense oil can be used aromatically, topically and internally.

Lavender

Lavender is a beautiful versatile oil that is widely know for its relaxing and calming properties.  It promotes sleep when diffused at night and can help you stay asleep for longer.

It is also wonderful for your skin, soothing minor irritations and also cleanses.

Lavender oil can be used aromatically, topically and internally.

Lemon

Lemon has multiple benefits, it can be used as a natural cleaner because it has natural cleansing and purifying properties. It is wonderful for cleaning sticky residue left over from stickers or grime.

It can also help support your immune system, increasing energy levels and help with digestive issues. It is best to dilute lemon oil before applying to the skin. Lemon oil is also photosensitive so use caution if going out in the sun after applying lemon oil as you may burn.

Lemon oil is also a natural detoxing agent and can be used in your water bottle for a refreshing detoxing drink. Though always use a glass or aluminum container as the Lemon oil will try to clean the inside of your bottle and if you are using plastic you may end up drinking chemicals! 😬

Lemon oil can be used aromatically, topically and internally.

Peppermint

Peppermint is probably my most used oil. I love the uplifting smell of peppermint and use it in most of my diffuser blends (even if it's not meant to be there I generally add a drop of peppermint 😄).

Peppermint is cooling and soothing to the skin and muscles. It is good for reducing tension, it helps open the airways and can relieve stomach discomfort.

When Studying or travelling long distances I diffuse peppermint or apply it to the back of my neck to help me focus (though it is best to dilute peppermint as it may feel hot on the skin).

Be careful of putting on your temples or near your eyes, if you do get in your eyes DO NOT wash out with water, use a carrier oil or olive oil to remove from eyes.

Peppermint oil can be used aromatically, topically and internally.

Tea Tree (Melaleuca)

Tea Tree is a wonderful oil for cleansing the skin and hair. I use this oil in all my skin creams and hair oils. It has similar properties to lemon without the photosensitivity. It is great for cleaning and is an excellent addition to your cleaning routine.

Tea tree is great to add to a water spray bottle along with lavender for your hair and also to deter lice in your children's hair. You can also apply it directly to the inside of school hats!

Our Tea tree does not sting when applied to an open wound, it has excellent cleansing and healing properties for wounds.

Tea Tree can be used aromatically and topically.

Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus leaf oil is traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to help alleviate cough and cold symptoms. It can also be used to aid milk rheumatic aches and pains. This beautiful highly concentrated oil can be applied topically to areas requiring it's attention or diffused, for a beautiful clear aroma.

I love making a blend of Eucalyptus and Easy Air along with coconut oil as a back rub for both the young and elderly requiring a bit of assistance with breathing.

On Guard

On Guard is doTERRA's 'Protective Blend'. This is a blend of Clove, Cinnamon, Rosemary, Eucalyptus and Wild Orange. It is designed to help bost the imune system and protect our bodies from environmental threats.

On Guard can also be added to your cleaning products for extra protection on kitchen surfaces.

On Guard can be used aromatically (especially good at change of season), topically and internally.

Easy Air (Breathe)

Easy Air is doTERRA's respiratory blend. It is a blend of Eucalyptus, Laurel Leaf, Peppermint, Tea Tree, Lemon, Cardamom and Ravintsara essential oils.

This is your go to oil for everything respiratory, it helps open the airways. Make your own chest rub with coconut oil or just dilute to apply to the chest or back.

Easy Air oil can be used Aromatically and topically.

ZenGest (DigestZen)

Recently DigestZen has had a name change to ZenGest. This is doTERRA's digestive blend. It contains Anise, Peppermint, Ginger, Caraway, Coriander, Cardamom and Fennel.

It is your go to for any digestive issues, from stomach discomfort, nausea, car sickness, constipation or diarrhea.

You can apply it directly to the skin or dilute in a carrier oil for a larger surface area. Add 1-2 drops to a small glass of water to settle an upset tummy.

ZenGest can be used aromatically, topically and internally.

Balance

Balance has recently been added to the Home Essentials Kit, this beautiful grounding oil is a must to have on hand, especially on those busy days. Before you even get out of bed, pop a drop on the sole of your feet or place a drop in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together, cup them over your nose and breath deeply in.

This can also be done throughout the day as required. this Blend helps create a sense of calm and relaxation.
